His illustrious military career saw him in various command roles and strategic planning positions. During his time in the Army, Lane spent more than a decade living abroad, training, visiting, or being deployed to 31 countries. He served three combat tours, commanded a 1600-person organization in Iraq, and led an Army-level talent management program responsible for developing future general officers. Throughout this period, he completed the rigorous US Army Ranger School, Airborne and Air Assault qualification courses, and obtained a master's degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia.⁣ ⁣ Having consistently excelled in demanding roles, Lane takes immense pride in his successes and is driven by a passion for leadership and service.⁣ ⁣ Born in Atlanta and having lived worldwide for 26 years, Lane now resides in Rome, Georgia, with his wife Christi and their three incredible daughters. Their cherished spare time is often spent outdoors, attending musicals, chauffeuring their children to various activities, caring for their rescued pets, and enjoying Rome Braves games. Lane is also deeply involved in his community, serving as an active member of the American Legion Post 52, a board member at his church, and chairing the Americanism Committee of the Exchange Club of Rome.
